How to prevent the spread of Corona Virus

As Corona Virus spreads, medical teams across the world are scrambling to come up with a vaccine. While vaccines will help stop the spread of the virus, we need to take our own precautions. This isn’t like any other flu season; and while you might think that having ‘suspected’ cases under control is all that matters, it’s not! Even if there hasn’t been a case within your locality, it doesn’t mean that you’re safe from this deadly disease. So we urge you to follow these simple guidelines and get your PCR test in Abu Dhabi done if you have symptoms:

Avoid shaking hands or sharing eating utensils with anybody

While we don’t judge people who shake hands, we do advise you to be cautious. This is because the virus spreads through bodily fluids such as saliva and blood, so bear that in mind when greeting your friends or colleagues.

Similarly, sharing utensils probably sounds unhygienic to most of us, but it does happen. And now with all those cases popping up around you, maybe it’s time for a quick reminder about the dangers of doing so!

Keep your surroundings clean

We know how hectic life can get during flu season; but if you want to make sure that nobody else gets infected by Corona Virus, this has to take priority at least once a day.

Avoid public places such as malls and cafes

For the sake of your own safety, we recommend that you stay indoors. As much as possible, avoid public places such as malls and cafes. This is because they are the primary breeding grounds for Corona Virus. Chances are, somebody in that mall coughed into his hand and then touched an item on the shelf; or somebody sneezed on her hand and then touched the breakfast pastry you ordered. It might sound far-fetched to some, but it’s true!

Wash your hands frequently to avoid the spread of germs

Furthermore, wash your hands frequently to prevent spreading germs. This is a typical part of any self-care routine. It only takes a minute and it could do wonders for you and those around you!

Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing Remember, the virus spreads through fluid contact. So if somebody next to you sneezes, try your best to cover your nose and mouth with a tissue. Or do it the good old-fashioned way by covering it with your elbow. This would reduce the chances of getting infected. If you have symptoms, visit a PCR test lab in Abu Dhabi right away.
